NVQ Level 2 Certificate – Operational Services for Park Staff
Operational services are a key element in the smooth running of any park. Do your employees have the correct skills to do their job effectively?
This NVQ is a specially developed work based qualification, suitable for most park employees, whether they are a team leader, a ‘practical doer’, or they work in reception, administration, retail or leisure. Because each park is different, the qualification offers a very wide choice of optional technical and administrative units, as well as the core essentials of health & safety, teamwork, customer service and equality and diversity.
+/- Compulsory and optional units
All learners complete credits from the following four compulsory units:
- Promoting health and safety
- Customer service
- Working in a team
- Equality and diversity
The learner must then complete credits from the optional units below:
- Dealing with substances hazardous to health
- Siting caravans
- Resolve customer service problems
- Grounds maintenance
- Carry out maintenance and minor repairs
- Provide a facility reception service
- Set up, take down and store equipment
- Keeping the park clean and tidy
- Using and maintaining equipment and machines
The NVQ is undertaken at the learner’s place of work. Learners are monitored and assessed during regular assessor visits. The NVQ is usually completed over a number of months and is open to all full time, part time and seasonal employees.
