Home Parks Electrical

Electrical Training For Parks

Under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, all employers have a duty to ensure that employees are competent to carry out any electrical duties expected of them. The National Caravan Council has defined the competences necessary for electrical inspection of caravan holiday homes and park homes when they are connected. A training course with assessment has been developed to provide the necessary proof of the competence of park maintenance staff.

This course is designed to ensure that park workers are safe when carrying out their day-to-day duties, that all legal requirements are met, and that they can sign off a specified range of electrical work that will fall within their usual duties.

The CITO Electrical Inspection & Test Certificate is recognised by the British Holiday & Home Parks Association and the National Caravan Council as a limited competence qualification for a specified range of inspection & testing tasks in the caravan parks industry. Now, park staff don't necessarily need to have the 17th edition qualification in order to carry out these tasks. You will be able to complete and issue a full Electrical Commissioning Report for an Electrical Installation for all your second-hand or used caravan holiday homes.
