ACS Gas for Parks
Competence for all gas work is now assessed under ACS (Accreditation and Certification Scheme), and this is checked by Gas Safe prior to registration.
If an engineer have been previously registered with CORGI/Gas Safe, they can go straight onto an ACS training and assessment programme.
This lasts two weeks, and is offered by CITO on caravan parks or at a Gas Training Centre, so as to give wide geographical coverage and access to units for assessment. This course covers core LPG safety aspects including ventilation, COSHH, soundness testing, pipe sizing etc. The four main appliances are also included – cookers, heaters, water heaters and central heating.
Please note all certifications must be registered with Gas Safe after your ACS course has been completed. There is an additional charge for this set by Gas Safe. For further details see www.gassaferegister.co.uk
