ACS Gas

Competence for all gas work is now assessed under ACS (Accreditation and Certification Scheme), and this is checked by CORGI prior to registration.

If staff have been previously registered with CORGI, they can go straight onto an ACS training and assessment programme.

This lasts two weeks, and is offered by CITO on caravan parks or at a Gas Training Centre, so as to give wide geographical coverage and access to units for assessment.  This course covers core LPG safety aspects including ventilation, COSHH, soundness testing, pipe sizing etc.  The four main appliances are also included – cookers, heaters, water heaters and central heating.

Please note all certifications must be registered with Corgi after your ACS course has been completed. There is an additional charge for this set by Corgi. For further details see www.trustcorgi.com

Pricess will increase by £20 from 1st April 2009
